Light meters. Infrared thermometers. Phantom load. Most of these words are probably a bit puzzling and technical sounding to a lot of people. However, many Minnesota students are throwing around these terms with ease as they work to make their schools more eco-friendly through the program, Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon (MnSCC).

Rosemount High is taking the challenge and conserving energy! We recently moved from 27th to 1st place with 102 pledges and an 1,334,932 pound reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.

100 Schools, 3 years…How much carbon can they cut? MN Schools Cutting Carbon is a project to involve high school and university students across MN in an effort to reduce carbon footprints at schools across the state.
