Schools who are interested in applying for PBEEEP must be entered into the Buildings, Benchmarks, and Beyond Database. The Lease Purchasing Funding will be designed to match the annual energy cost savings, resulting in the energy savings paying off the loan, rather than re-budgeting.
As governmental units seek to contain operational costs, create jobs, reduce emissions, and save energy through energy-related infrastructure improvements and initiatives, the Public Building Enhanced Energy Efficiency Program (PBEEEP) will provide assistance through an easy access approach that combines expert technical services and financing. Any Minnesota local government public building project whose purpose is energy-efficiency improvement will be eligible to apply for Program participation.
