A number of Minnesota’s schools are making changes to their school buses. And as News 12’s Sara Miles tells us in the end, it should significantly decrease the environmental impact of bus operations while creating a green fleet.Every day, Minnesota students use buses to get to and from school, and GFW’s Transportation Director Mike Johnson is the one to drive them. But after doing the job for over 30 years he knows that the air inside and around school buses can be up to five times more polluted.
GFW’s Transportation Director Mike Johnson says, “Exhausts from diesel engines cause problems for children with asthma and things and that they had this project to clean up the air somewhat.”
