New York Mills Public School
• The students at New York Mills High School are engaging students and teachers in energy projects through MN Schools Cutting Carbon (a CERTs partnership program). The students are working with the school to implement composting of food waste. The school has even brought in worms to speed the decomposition of the food to soil project!
Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon is a program of Clean Energy Resource Teams, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and Minnesota Office of Energy Security. Funding provided by Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.
