Aitkin Plans Walk to School Day
Aitkin Community Education and Aitkin County are partnering to plan an Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 7. This is also International Walk to School Day. Adult volunteers will meet school children at bus drop off sites and form “walking school buses” to Rippleside Elementary. The event is being planned to raise awareness for pedestrian safety and community walkability. It will also encourage students to walk or bike to school when possible.
