Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

Hibbing Community College (HCC) recently attended the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Conference in Indianapolis. Representatives from the college attended sessions on greening the curriculum, calculating a campus carbon footprint, and how to develop a campus climate action plan. The poster “Promoting Sustainability in the Northeast Higher Education District” was also presented at the conference. As a signatory of the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, HCC is working on a plan to become a carbon neutral campus in the future.
