Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

On May 7th, Dr. Sue Collins, President of the Northeast Higher Education District (NHED), signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment (ACUPCC) on behalf of Hibbing Community College (HCC) and it’s Provost, Dr. Ken Simberg. Hibbing now joins Vermilion Community College as the two NHED colleges to become signatories of the commitment. With encourgement from the HCC Green Team and the student organization TASC (Towards a Sustainable Campus), Dr. Simberg has fully endorsed the Presidents Climate Commitment. HCC is now initiating the development of a comprehensive plan to achieve climate neutrality.
