Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

Itasca Community College hosted the 2nd Annual Northeast Higher Education District (NHED) Sustainability Conference on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Sustainability groups of faculty, staff, and students from the five community colleges of the district met to discuss past, present, and future projects and ideas for improving sustainability on our campuses. Each college presented a short summary of what their campus has accomplished and what they plan to do in the future. A campus tour led the participants from the boiler room, where woodchips are used to heat the buildings, to the Landscaping for Wildlife courtyard and grounds.
