Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

Lake Superior College is situated on a wooded campus overlooking Duluth’s famous harbor and the St. Louis River Valley. Special features are the trout stream that runs through campus and the spectacular views of Lake Superior. Our Environmental Council has expanded over the past several years to include students, staff and faculty from many disciplines and programs on campus. Lake Superior College Environmental Mission Statement
We, the Lake Superior College community, believe our campus has an opportunity and responsibility to provide leadership to our college and local communities by conducting education and business as responsible stewards of the physical environment. To this end, we are committed to:

1. Conserve natural resources and support their sustainable use.
2. Conduct college activities in a manner that safeguards the environmental health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and our surrounding communities.
3. Promote environmental awareness, local action, and global thinking.
