On September 12, three members of the Student Sustainability Coalition represented the UMD Office of Sustainability at the Harvest Festival and Energy Fair. The exhibit included a display about various sustainability topics, from energy-saving LEED buildings at UMD to the Malosky Stadium Solar Panel Array and research. Also available were brochures regarding reducing your carbon footprint by biking to UMD and a poster detailing various ways the campus is collectively working to “Add Up to Zero”.
The Festival also included a farmers market, arts and crafts fair, live music, energy exhibitors, and workshops. Learn more about the annual event here.
