BSU Joins the Minnesota Campus Energy Challenge (MCEC)
Bemidji State University is part of the Minnesota Campus Energy Challenge (MCEC)!

What Is MCEC?
In the past several Februaries, Minnesota elementary, middle, and high schools as well as colleges and universities have waged a youth-led campaign to address climate change. These “Campus Wars” or “energy challenges” engage Minnesota youth in a friendly competition where the winner is the campus that reduces its total February energy use the most, based on a percentage relative to previous Februaries for that school.

So, let’s go! Turn ‘em off, unplug ‘em, CONSERVE!! Our electrical consumption (in kilowatts) and our heat usage (in BTUs) will be used to determine where we stand. This February will be compared with February 2006, 2007, and 2008.
