Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

The Green Club will take a tour of the LEED Platinum Great River Energy building in Maple Grove. On our tour, we will learn about the many ways this building reduces their impact on the environment, such as using a rain water in dual flush toilet system. This company is also the first to take a giant step towards sustainability in Maple Grove by erecting a 150-foot-tall wind turbine in their front yard. Residents are able to see the turbine from miles away in many parts of the Maple Grove/Osseo area.
