Austin High School Going Green Club

The AHS Going Green Club is a student orginization dedicated to improving green awareness and implementation within the school and the community. The organization participates in small group projects like recycling and ditch cleaning to long term efforts like solar and wind power. The club hopes to make a positive impact toward energy conservation by collaborating with small businesses and service clubs for support. In exchange the club provides volunteer hours, resources on going green, and awareness presentations on current projects or new innovations in green technology. It is our hope that by laying a foundation in our educational system, the entire Austin community will be prepared to walk into an age of increased energy demands, setting the example for those to come.
