Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon

Thank you everyone who helped make the Earth Day Concert happen! In the past couple of months, Todd Thompson’s Earth day class planned and prepared to put on a musical concert that was carbon neutral. Student’s calculated the carbon emission’s that would created from several different factors of the event including transportation and energy used at the venue, and found out how many trees they would need to plant to offset the emissions. Some of the students worked the lights and sound of the event and the performers put on a spectacular show. With the money raised from the concert the school was able to purchase 14 trees which the class planted at the Carleton Arboretum.
