GFW Wind Energy Team is committed to reducing our carbon footprint and is involved in projects such as pursuing renewable energy projects for our school. Mr. Bill Alexander works with his Biology classes in environmental awareness and what we can do together to minimize our carbon footprint.
GFW Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
At both the district and site levels, strategic and operational goals have been established to reduce, reuse and recycle. We are focused on continuing to do our part to limit the amount of greenhouse gases that we product. We have eliminate the use of Styrofoam containers over the past year and encouraging recycling of paper, plastic and glass in all that we do.
Reduce our utility usage, make students more aware of recycling and reusing items and to continue to educate our school and our communities about smart environmental choices.

Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon is a program of Clean Energy Resource Teams, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and Minnesota Office of Energy Security. Funding provided by Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.
