Cutting Carbon Group Going Green
Going “Green” is a popular movement in the United States at the moment and EVW is doing its part with the Cutting Carbon Program.
Science teacher Becky Haag started this program after receiving a brochure in the mail on Minnesota schools cutting carbon last year. “I knew there was an interest for this sort of program because students had come to me in the past asking me why there wasn’t some sort of science club,” Haag said.
Minnesota Schools Cutting Carbon is a program of Clean Energy Resource Teams, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and Minnesota Office of Energy Security. Funding provided by Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources.
